This Way Today is provided by Thomas Bakker, trading as No Big Words.

This Way Today is intended as a visual daily-planning aid for families. Parents or caregivers manage the settings and decide how the app is used within the household.

You may use the app only in a lawful way that does not disrupt the operation, security or availability of the app or website.

This Way Today is a planning and support product. It does not replace medical, therapeutic, educational or other professional advice.

Decisions about a child’s care, treatment, health or safety remain the responsibility of the parent, caregiver and, where relevant, the professional involved.

The parent area is intended for adults who manage the board. Parents are responsible for setting and keeping the parent PIN confidential and for the choices they make in the app.

The app can be used by children, but it remains the parent’s or caregiver’s responsibility to decide whether the app is suitable for the child and how features such as rules, stars and savings goals are used.

The current version of the app is local-first. Important planning and family data is stored locally on the device.

Local data may be lost if the app or local storage is deleted, damaged or becomes inaccessible. The user is responsible for creating and safely storing backups where this is important.

We aim to make backup and restore features reliable, but cannot guarantee that data can be recovered in every situation.

We aim to keep This Way Today reliable and usable, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Features, content, pictograms, technical requirements and supported devices may change over time. We may add, change or remove parts where needed for security, quality, maintenance or product development.

The public roadmap is directional. Future features or priorities shown there are not a guarantee of delivery or release date.

When This Way Today is offered through the Apple App Store, purchase, payment, billing, refunds and distribution are handled under Apple’s systems and applicable terms.

Where applicable, Apple Media Services and App Store terms apply in addition to these Terms of use.

Apple is not responsible for the content of This Way Today, operation of the app or support that specifically relates to the app, except to the extent Apple is responsible under its own terms or applicable law.

This Way Today, its name, software, design, text, pictogram selections and other content created by us are protected by intellectual-property rights.

A valid purchase or other grant of access gives you a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the app for your own household use.

• you may not resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the app without permission
• you may not intentionally bypass security measures or technical restrictions
• you may not copy or reuse parts of the app outside what is permitted by law

You may voluntarily submit feedback, ideas and suggestions. We may use such suggestions to improve This Way Today without this automatically creating a right to payment, ownership or an obligation on our part.

Do not include confidential information or sensitive child or family data unless it is genuinely necessary.

We remain responsible to the extent required by mandatory applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from misuse of the app, failure to create a backup, device problems or third-party services outside our reasonable control.

If a technical issue could increase damage, we expect the user to take reasonable steps to limit further loss and to contact Support where appropriate.

Our Privacy policy applies to the processing of personal data. It explains, among other things, which data stays local, how analytics work and how feedback and support data is handled.

You may stop using This Way Today and remove the app at any time.

We may restrict access to parts of the service where necessary for security, abuse prevention, maintenance or where use violates these terms or applicable law.

These terms are governed by Dutch law, except where mandatory consumer law means you remain entitled to the protection of the laws of the country in which you usually reside.

We will first try to resolve disputes informally. Consumers retain any statutory right to bring a matter before a competent court or other designated dispute-resolution body.

We may update these terms when the app, distribution model, law or business operations change. The date at the top of this page shows when the terms were last updated.

For material changes that affect existing users, we will aim to provide appropriate notice.
